Loved this place. Travelled with a tent. No guarantee for place with shade. Electricity not available on every place, but staff is very helpful finding a solution for every problem. Will definitively come back whenever we are in this area again.

Great starting point to Transfagarasan trip, which itself is a very unique experience. The camp is peaceful and quiet, sometimes trains pass over a metal bridge, but it sops in the evening. The staff is helpful and speaks perfect English. As far as shopping goes, there are some shops and food places in nearby Carta town, but we haven't tried them,as we had our own food supply and prepared meals ourselves. If we ever decide to drive the Tranfagarasan again, or travel farther south to Bulgaria, we certainly will consider The Old Willow camp.

Mooi gelegen camping met geweldige gastvrouw ( Nederlands sprekend). Grote plekken met of zonder elektra, met of zonder schaduw. Goed en schoon sanitair, heerlijke warme douches. Binnenruimte voor de afwas of koken. De was kan op verzoek gedaan worden. Kampvuur mogelijk. Kleine speelhoek voor kinderen. Goede uitvalsbasis voor Transfaragasan of Sibiu.
