Veel mooie plaatsen om te bezoeken, mooie stranden.

Veel fietspaden, soms wat smal. Veel uitstapjes mogelijk b.v. Vuurtoren beklimmen, stranden in het westen en baai van La Palmiere (soort droogvallend wad) in het zuiden en vissersplaatjes aan de Seudre (Mornac erg leuk) in het noorden en de grootste havenplaats Royan met veerpont naar het zuiden.
